Electrified: On the way to an all-electric society
Germany wants to be climate-neutral by 2045, and renewable energies must be massively expanded to achieve this. In the same way, areas that are still largely separate in the old energy world must work together and be interconnected: Energy supply, mobility, production and building infrastructure. The concept of the All Electric Society describes the vision of a CO2-neutral and sustainable world whose energy needs are met entirely on the basis of renewably generated electricity. To achieve this, all sectors of our economy and society must be digitized, automated and electrified. In this issue, you can find out exactly how the All Electric Society works, what still needs to be done to achieve it, and what the benefits will be.
