Two days full of innovations, trends and solutions for the mobility of the future: High-caliber speakers from corporations and startups, the realm of politics and various associations will present their ideas in over 30 speeches and discussion panels. The topics covered will include how the transition from fossil-fuel engines to sustainable transport might work – and which surrounding political conditions are necessary to overcome the challenges related to the development of a comprehensive charging infrastructure and shifts in the labor market.
“Climate-neutral mobility is complex and will succeed most effectively with technological openness – in other words, by deploying the available technologies in such a way that they exploit their respective strengths and can have an optimal impact. That also applies to the options for electromobility, such as batteries, fuel cells and overhead lines,” says Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport and patron of the event.
“The VDE E-Mobility Conference is the key event in the industry when it comes to the future of mobility. Apart from the strong focus on electromobility, we'll also be considering the aspects of mobility apart from battery-electric drives, such as fuel cells or e-fuels,” says Dr. Ralf Petri, head of mobility at VDE.
How can electromobility become as climate-friendly as possible? What needs to be done to ensure that the power grid can cope with the requirements of more and more EVs? What role will digitalization play in this drive transition? And what opportunities does hydrogen have as a supplement to battery-electric drives? Those interested will get answers to these and many other questions at the VDE E-Mobility Conference.
